World War Z

Met up with 小花 at Vivocity to watch movie. As our show was at 7.30, we did not have time to have dinner before the show so we went to buy sushi from Giant. Not sure why but the queues at the cashiers were all quite long and we had to wait for some time before it was our turn. It caused us to be late for our movie by about 10 mins.

We were watching "World War Z". Even though we missed the beginning of the show, we could still catch up on the story. It was quite exciting and I was startled by the loud sound effects on a couple of occasions. Overall it was a nice show and it focused more on the process of finding a cure rather than the zombies, which was a bit different from other zombie shows.

Now You See Me

Today I met up with 小花 at VivoCity after work. We went to Long John Silver's for dinner before going to the cinema. We went to watch "Now You See Me" and it was very entertaining. It was amazing to see how the illusionists pull off the tricks. The ending was also a surprise but I think it was good. We had a good time and enjoyed watching the show :)

Movie time!

This afternoon we went to Quayside Isle at Sentosa Cove for lunch. Wanted to have a look at this new F&B and retail destination but doesn't seem to have much. We walked around and finally decided on Solepomodoro Trattoria-Pizzeria. We ordered 2 pizzas and 1 pasta to share. The pizzas were good but the pasta was a bit too salty and the penne was a bit hard. Think I still prefer spaghetti or linguini.

After work, I went to meet 小花 at Vivocity for dinner and movies. We had a quick dinner of 五香 at Food Republic then proceeded to the cinema. We were just in time before the movie started. We were watching "Epic" tonight. It was a very entertaining show and many scenes were funny so we enjoyed  watching it.

Holiday eve

Today Ms L came back to work. She said that she didn't feel any pain during or after the laser and the doctor told her that she could resume her normal life - no need to avoid eating certain food, can wash face/bathe as usual etc. Just that she had to use eye drops 4 times a day. Good to hear that :)

After work, I met up with 小花 and Ms H for dinner at Carl's Junior where we ate and chatted. After that, 小花 and I went to the cinema to watch the movie "Fast & Furious 6". It was quite fast-paced and exciting, just that some of the female characters looked so alike to me that I kept mixing them up :P

Yay! Tomorrow is Vesak Day so no need to go to work! :D

Lunch at Santouka Ramen

During lunchtime, Ms L and I went to The Central to meet 小花. As there was not too many people at the clinic, 小花 and Ms L went to see the doctor first. 小花 wanted to do some tests and get more medicine, while Ms L wanted to consult the doctor about her eyes.

After that, we proceeded to Santouka Ramen for lunch. 小花 and I ordered the Shio Ramen while Ms L ordered the Shoyu Ramen. We also shared a plate of pork cheek meat which was very tender. All of us ordered the small portion for our ramen so it was just nice for me and not overly full.

After lunch, we had a quick walk around a Japanese tidbits shop. Then Ms L and I went back to office while 小花 went home.

TGIF!

Today 小花 went to see a doctor as she was not feeling well. After that, she came over to meet up with Ms L and I for a short tea break. We chatted for about an hour before going back to work, while 小花 waited for me to finish my work and go for movies later.

After work, I met up with 小花 and we decided to have dinner at Ichiban Sushi at ARC first as it was less crowded. I ordered a Nabeyaki Udon and it was very filling.

After dinner, we proceeded to the cinema at Vivocity. We were watching "The Call" tonight. I didn't watch the trailer before the movie so was not quite sure what the plot was about. However, it was quite an exciting show and there were many scenes which kept us in suspense.

Today we went to 313 @ Somerset for teppanyaki lunch at Food Republic. We ate and chatted then went for drinks at Toast Box. We were so engrossed in complaining about a new colleague that we only went back to office at about 4pm.

After work, I met up with 小花 for dinner before proceeding to the cinema to watch G.I. Joe: Retaliation. It was an action-packed movie and kept us entertained throughout.

It's Thursday!

Today we went to Maxwell for lunch. As tomorrow is a public holiday, 小花 and Ms H decided to meet up with us today instead. We reached Maxwell earlier so we looked for a table first. It was rather crowded and we only managed to get a table after walking round for some time. I had 鱼片面线 as they had run out of 粗米粉. We chatted and ate but it was very hot and we decided to move to another table for desserts.

After work, I met up with 小花 again at VivoCity for dinner. 小花 suggested Texas Chicken and I agreed. I was not very hungry so I only ordered a burger. After dinner, we went to GV to watch "Snitch". It was quite exciting but I thought it was quite ridiculous that a person can be caught with a bag of ecstasy pills with no evidence of wanting to distribute them and be sentenced to a minimum 10 years jail. And his friend just sells him out in order to reduce his own sentence. The laws seem rather unjust...

Lunch @ ION

Today 小花 came to meet me for lunch and we took bus service 175 to ION. We decided to lunch at Food Republic and managed to get a table shortly. The ingredients at the nearby Yong Tau Foo stall looked tempting so we decided to have that for lunch. The food did not disappoint us :)

After lunch, we went to JTB to purchase the rail pass for our Japan trip in Apr. We wanted to buy the Kansai Area Pass and Kansai Thru Pass but the Kansai Thru Pass was out of stock. So we just bought the Kansai Area Pass first. Luckily, the Kansai Thru Pass can still be purchased in Japan if we are unable to buy here.

Today we went to VivoCity for lunch. We actually wanted to lunch at Ajisen but there were no seats available so we went to Crystal Jade Jiang Nan instead. We ordered a bowl of ramen each and luckily all of us ordered the half bowl as it was very filling. We also ordered rice cake and xiao long bao to share.

After work, I met up with 小花 and we went to Long John Silver's for dinner. We then proceeded to watch The Croods. It was very hilarious and we totally enjoyed the show. Towards the end, there were also some touching scenes and I felt that it was a very nice show overall :)

Oz: The Great and Powerful

Today, 小花 came to meet us for lunch. Ms M actually wanted to have lunch at Wang cafe at ARC but it was very crowded so we went to Local+ instead. We ate and chatted then proceeded to Burger King for sundae. After that we went back to work while 小花 went to VivoCity to shop.

After work, I went to meet up with 小花. We went to buy sushi at Giant before going to the cinema. We were watching Oz: The Great and Powerful today. It was a very entertaining show with some funny scenes in between. It made me want to re-read all the books that I had read when I was young as I realized that I have almost forgotten the stories.

Today we went to meet 小花 and Ms H at VivoCity for lunch. Ms M had a craving for ramen so we went to Ajisen. Most of us ordered the Spicy Cha Shu Ramen which comes with a side dish and drink for the lunch set. We shared the different side dishes and chatted while eating.

After work, I went to meet up with 小花 for dinner before proceeding to the cinema for our movie. We watched Jack the Giant Slayer and it was an entertaining show. There were plenty of action as well as funny scenes and we enjoyed it.

So fast that it's already March now...

CNY gathering

Today our boss invited us to his home for CNY gathering. 小花 went to her sister's house in the afternoon so I met up with her at Jurong East MRT at 6pm to go to our boss's house together. Luckily we had seats as the train kept braking suddenly and seemed very unstable. Throughout the journey, we played Candy Crush Saga and were so engrossed that we didn't realize that we had reached our station at Kembangan. So we went to Bedok and took the train back again :P Ms L was already waiting for us at Kembangan and we took a cab to our boss's house.

We were one of the first to reach and chatted while waiting for the others. We then had dinner and played with Mr K's baby. She was only 4 months old and was very chubby and cute :) However, I think too many people kept touching her until she seemed a bit irritated and looked like she wanted to cry whenever someone attempted to stroke her soft skin. We stayed till about 11 pm before going home.

Poor feet...

Today I decided to wear my pair of new shoes but it was a big mistake. Thought it was very soft when I tried on before buying, but my feet started to hurt after just walking to the MRT :( When I reached office, my feet had blisters and I asked 小花 if she had any plaster. Unfortunately she only had 1 so I pasted it on the back of my right foot as it seemed to hurt the most. Spent the whole day walking around in pain...

After work, 小花 and I went to Food Republic. We were not very hungry and there was not much time left before our show, so we decided to to buy 五香 into the cinema to eat :P We tried to finish most of the food, especially those crispy ones, before the show started so that we won't make too much noise while chewing the food.

The movie "Parker" was quite exciting and action-packed. The scene where the killer tried to kill Parker in his room gave me a fright as I was not really expecting it. It was also quite gruesome when the knife cut through Parker's palm and he was covered in blood. But overall we enjoyed the show.

Back to work

The auspicious hour to start work today was 11am so even though I had reached office at around 10am, I waited till 11am to switch on my computer ;) There was not much work to do today so I spent most of my time playing Candy Crush Saga.

In the afternoon, 小花 started planning for our April trip and I joined her. Have done up a list of places to visit and shall continue again tomorrow.

Shall cherish these few days as many people are still on Chinese New Year holidays so there shouldn't be much to do :D

A Good Day to Die Hard

Our company did not declare half day today but as we were not really in a mood to work and there was not much to do, we left office at about 5 pm. I went to Harbour Front Centre with 小花 to buy Toto, then went to have dinner at the nearby McDonald's before proceeding to the cinema.

We watched the movie "A Good Day to Die Hard". It was full of action scenes and we were entertained throughout. Just thought that the son was a bit useless even though he is a CIA agent, and needed his father to help/rescue him. Overall still a good show to just watch and relax.

TGIF!

Today 小花 and I did not watch any movies as the timings were not very good. Ms L invited us to her home as we have not gone there after her renovations were completed. Ms H drove us there as she also wanted to have a look. It was very windy and cooling, probably as her unit was on a high floor.

After that, we decided to go to the nearby coffee shop for dinner. Ms L's sister had already prepared dinner for her but she still joined us to have a bite. We ordered XO fish soup bee hoon and 2 other dishes to share. After dinner, Ms L went home while Ms H, 小花 and I walked to The Star Vista and shopped around for a while before going home.

Last day of January

I had some Watami vouchers that were expiring today so 小花, Ms D and I went to the restaurant at The Star Vista for lunch. We ordered a number of dishes to share and were very satisfied with the food. Pleased that we didn't waste the vouchers :)

So fast... today is already the last day of January. 1 month of 2013 has passed just like that...

Long lunch

Today 小花, Ms H and I went to Vivocity to have lunch with Tulip at Sushi Tei. Usually there would be a long queue during lunch but surprisingly the place was not very full today. We ordered quite a number of dishes to share and we were very full.

After lunch, Ms H went to have coffee with an ex-colleague while 小花, Tulip and I went to Giant. Both of them bought air fresheners and some other household items. Tulip then left to go to the bank, and 小花 and I went to buy some bread for tomorrow's breakfast before proceeding to McDonald's to wait for Ms H. We waited for about an hour and spent the time playing Candy Crush Saga. In the end, we only reached office at about 4pm :P

As customers gave us a few hampers for Chinese New Year, my colleagues opened them and conducted a lucky draw to distribute the items. I got a can of abalone and a bottle of grape juice. Lucky uh :D

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters

Today 小花 was on MC but we had already booked movie tickets for tonight and she said she just had to be careful so I went to meet her at O' Coffee Club for dinner first. We ordered the Garlic Prawn Pasta and the Skipper's Delight to share.

After dinner, there was still time so I accompanied 小花 to Daiso to buy some things. We then proceeded to the movie theatre. Our show was supposed to start at 9.30pm but we could not enter the cinema hall until almost 9.45pm as an earlier show had only just ended. Not sure what happened to the scheduling :S We were starting to get worried whether we would miss the last train when our show finally started at 10pm. The show was full of action, though some scenes were rather gruesome. Luckily the show was not very long so we were still in time to catch the train.
