Movie

Today we collected movie tickets for the free screening of Skyfall this Friday that our company has organized. However, our allocated seats were not good as they were in the first few rows. In the end, most of us decided to give away the tickets and not go for the screening, as we felt that it would be torturous on our necks to sit at the front rows for the two and a half hour movie.

小花 and I decided to book tickets for Twilight instead. This will be the last installation of the Twilight series so hope it will be nice. Looking forward to watch it :)

Farewell lunch

Today we went to Star Vista as we were treating a colleague to a farewell lunch. We initially wanted to have lunch at Itacho Sushi but when we arrived, there was a long queue outside the restaurant. So we decided to try other restaurants instead. After walking around, we decided to go to Watami. There was no queue outside so we went in and waited for a table. However, a waitress came and told us that we might have to wait for some time as the tables were all full. We didn't want to wait long so we changed restaurants again. Some one suggested Canton Paradise so we proceeded there. On our way there, we passed by Itacho Sushi and surprisingly there was no more queue so we went there and got a table quickly. So funny that we changed restaurants so many times but still ended up at the one that we initially chosen.

We ordered a few sets and handrolls to share. Food was served rather quickly and there were so many different dishes that our table was filled. It's good to have many people eating together as we could order a variety of food and taste a bit of everything. The food was good and we were all very full :)

Sad that the colleague will be leaving this Friday, but also happy for her that she has found a better job. All the best to her! \^^/

Tired...

Today continued playing Neopets as this is the last day of the games challenge. So sad that there seemed to be a glitch and one of the challenges still showed as incomplete, even though I had already submitted the score. Hopefully it will be sorted out and my scores will be counted.

Spent the night playing and didn't have time to watch my J-dramas again :( Now feel so tired and have to sleep liao... Hope tomorrow won't have panda eyes :P

It's Sunday again...

Spent almost the whole day playing games as there was a games challenge event on Neopets :P Can't imagine that it has already been 12 years since I started playing Neopets and I still have not stopped, although now I only really play during special events.

Sad that I didn't manage to watch much J-dramas. Have to sleep early too as have to go to work early again... Sianz... Hope can come home early to catch up on the new episodes :)

Melt - The World Cafe

Today I met up with 小花 and Tulip at Mandarin Oriental Hotel for dinner at Melt - The World Cafe. They were giving me a belated birthday treat. It was my first time there and thought that the buffet spread was quite good. The food was also nice and was replenished rather quickly. Think this can be an alternative to the Greenhouse buffet that we usually go to.

We had a good time eating and chatting and towards the end of the meal, a waiter presented me with a small birthday cake that 小花 and Tulip had arranged for in advance. We finished the cake even though we were already very full, as Tulip mentioned that there cannot be any leftovers for birthday cakes. Thanks for the treat! \^^/

Rise of the Guardians

Today we left office earlier than usual so had time to go for dinner before the movie. 小花 had a craving for 五香虾饼 at Vivocity's Food Republic so we proceeded there. The standard is still good and we enjoyed the food.

After dinner, we went to collect the movie tickets that we had booked. We still had some time so we walked around before going into the theatre. 小花 was happy that she managed to buy a small Christmas tree that she has been looking for at FrancFranc.

We were actually deciding between Rise of the Guardians or Twilight as both were released this week. In the end, we chose Rise of the Guardians as we felt that Twilight would probably be screened longer. Glad that we did not miss Rise of the Guardians as it was a very entertaining movie. There were many funny scenes and the characters were also very likable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was a good way to de-stress after work :)

Changes

It's finally Thursday... This week seemed especially long, maybe because there has been so many changes at work. Tomorrow still have to go to work early so have to sleep earlier tonight... Sianz... Luckily it's Friday tomorrow so at least have our movie session to look forward to :)

Both my sis were talking about the newly announced 0.7 month variable bonus for civil servants. So jealous as I'm pretty sure our company won't be giving out bonuses this year. Sigh....

Lunch at Marutama Ramen

Today a colleague suggested going to Central to have lunch at Marutama Ramen. We agreed and proceeded there. There was no queue so we got a table easily. I decided on the Marutama Ramen and we also ordered the Yaki Char Siu to share.

Yummy! Having tried so many different ramen, I still prefer Marutama's. The soup is not overly salty and adding the fried garlic makes it even more tasty. I also like the springy ramen and the hard boiled egg but with a soft yolk. Very satisfied with the meal :D

Lunch at Ichiban Sushi

Today we had wanted to go to Local+ for lunch but it was crowded so Ms M suggested going to Ichiban Sushi instead. She was fuming over an unreasonable email sent by another team and wanted to have something good for lunch. So we proceeded to Ichiban Sushi and surprisingly didn't have to wait for long to get a table.

I decided to order the Ichiban Bento set as there was a variety of food - salmon sashimi, tempura, saba shioyaki and chawanmushi, and the portion was just right. We also ordered the Mentai Potato Salad to share and ended up very full. Was satisfied with the food and shall visit again soon :)

Miscommunication

Today 小花 and I had a miscommunication. I thought she had to finish up some work so I told her I would compile some data for a report in the meantime. However, she thought that I wanted to send out the report by today so she waited for me while she did other things. It was not until she commented that there are 2 new J-drama episodes to watch tonight that I asked her if she has finished her work. We then realized that we were actually ready to go off and were just waiting for each other. Haha... we were so blur uh... Luckily we were only later than usual by about 30 - 45 minutes.

Sad that another colleague resigned today. Sigh... Wonder how long we can last....
