Oink! Oink!

Woke up at 11+ today but still felt rather lethargic. Watched a couple of anime/J-dramas before and after lunch then felt really sleepy so went to have a nap :P Slept for almost 2 hours before waking up to bathe and have dinner. After dinner, I continued watching J-dramas. I felt so restless that I went to search for a couple of NDS games to play. Now I'm going to try out some of the games before going to bed.

Think I'm like a lazy pig today and there goes my Saturday just like that...

Lunch at The Star Vista

Today quite a number of colleagues were on leave and Ms S and Ms I had lunch appointment so only Ms K, Ms D and I were left for lunch. We decided to take the MRT to The Star Vista to try the NeNe Chicken. Just as we were about to reach The Star Vista, Ms S called us and asked where we were. It turned out that the person forgot about the lunch appointment with them so they decided to join us instead.

NeNe Chicken was in the news on Yahoo! recently and the place was not very big so it was a bit crowded. We ordered the Green Onion Chicken and Black Sesame Chicken to share. The taste was quite good and the chicken didn't feel too oily even though it was fried. Ms S and Ms I both ordered the Freaking Hot Chicken. We know that Ms I could take spicy food but even she found it to be too spicy so we were surprised that Ms S finished her portion and said that the spiciness was ok.

After the meal, we went to Black Ball for dessert. We ordered 2 bowls of BlackBall Signature to share. It was quite good and refreshing and we just sat there and chit chat while we eat. We were all very full when we went back to office.

Today 小花 is still on leave so we did not plan any movies tonight and I went home straight after work.

Zzz...

Going to work feels like a chore these days... So sianz...

Just started watching 1 episode of J-drama but already dozing off... Zzzz... Don't know why but just don't seem to be in the mood to do anything. Think I shall go to bed early today.

Sinful...

Today we met up with Tulip and went to Akashi at Vivocity for lunch. Tomorrow is 小花's birthday but she would be on leave so we were giving her a treat today. 小花 and I ordered the Akashi Bento as usual, as it contained a variety of food including sashimi, tempura and saba.

小花 had 2 Gelateria Italia vouchers that would be expiring tomorrow so she wanted to use them by today. She selected the pistachio and dark chocolate flavours for one cup and mango and berries flavours for another cup. They all taste very good :)

In the evening, Ms I bought a cake from Barcook and we sang a birthday song for 小花. She kept asking us not to be too loud, but some colleagues purposely sang loudly and I think 小花 was a bit embarrassed haha. I had a slice of the chocolate cake even though I was still very full from the lunch :P

It would be 小花's birthday in another few minutes. お誕生日おめでとう!!

Lavender Food Centre

Today I accompanied 小花 to collect her passport at the ICA Building. Ms I gave us a lift there together with Ms M as we would be having lunch together. 小花 had already booked for a time slot in advance so we did not have to wait long before it was her turn.

After collecting the passport, we went to Lavender Food Centre for lunch. We decided to order the famous wanton noodles and were lucky to be there just a bit earlier as a long queue started forming behind us. We also ordered fried carrot cake and popiah to share. We were very satisfied with the food :) Shall try other stalls next time as it was my second time there but I still ordered the same food as the previous time.

Sleepy...

Today our company had organized a buffet dinner as an early celebration for Christmas but before that, there were speeches from our management. However, I felt so sleepy that I didn't really pay attention to what they were saying and even dozed off a few times :P

The food was not bad but they probably didn't cater enough as some dishes were already/almost finished when it was our turn in the queue. Anyway, we just had a quick dinner and then went back to our seats to wrap up our work before going home.

Felt so sleepy the whole of today... Must be due to last night where I still continued playing my DS after shutting down my computer and only slept at almost 2 am :P Better sleep earlier tonight.

ONIS (Oh no it's Sunday)

Stayed up to watch Man U's match at 1.30am again. Why are their matches always so late?! Glad that they won but was rather shocked by their horrific defending. Two of the three goals that they conceded were from corners which should have been defended properly. I just hope that they can improve their defending quickly or they will definitely lose against Man City next week :(

Woke up only at around noon but still felt tired. Continued watching J-dramas but felt a bit sleepy around evening so went to have a short nap before dinner. Sigh... Felt like I wasted the whole day doing nothing and then have to go to work again tomorrow. Hope the week will pass quickly...

Ice-skating

Today I spent the whole afternoon watching J-dramas. In the evening, I went out with my parents to buy some things at JCube. After dinner, I suggested going to the ice-skating rink to have a look as there were posters in the lift saying that tonight will be disco night. I had thought that there may be some performances but actually there were only disco lights being shone and disco music being played. However, we still stayed for a while to watch people ice-skate. There were quite a number of people ice-skating and a number of young children rented the Penguin Skating Aids to learn how to ice-skate. I thought it was very useful for them.


We were rather amused by one of the ice-skaters. The person seemed like he just started learning and his hands were swinging wildly to try to keep himself balanced but still failed and slipped on the ground. We didn't mean to laugh at the man but his actions were just too comical :P  There were also a few skaters who were very good and they looked so graceful and effortless while ice-skating. One of them who looked quite old even skated to the music for a while.

Ice-skating seemed fun so maybe will give it a try some day ;)

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2

There was still some time after work so 小花 and I decided to have dinner before the movie. I suggested O' Coffee Club as it has been a while since our last visit.  Ms M also joined us for dinner. The menu has changed and it seems like there were quite a number of Asian dishes added.

We decided to order the Garlic Prawn Pasta, Seafood Saffron Rice and Baked Shrimp-crusted Salmon. However, the Seafood Saffron Rice was not available so we changed to the Slipper Lobster Linguine instead. After we have finished the main dishes, 小花 asked if we could still share a Muddy Mud Pie and we agreed. We were very satisfied with the meal, with the exception of the slipper lobster which had a weird taste.

After dinner, 小花 and I proceeded to the movie theatre while Ms M went home. The movie was rather funny, which was quite unexpected given the seriousness of the previous parts. I sneezed in the middle of the show when it was quite quiet and I somehow felt it was so funny that I had to stop myself from bursting into laughter. There was kind of a twist at the ending but it was good. Someday I will find time to read the books to have a more detailed understanding of the whole story :)

Farewell gift

Tomorrow will be Ms F's last day at our company. She had prepared a farewell gift for each of us and gave it to us today. It consisted of a Kinder Surprise and a Kinder Happy Hippo, which symbolized her hope that our lives would be full of surprises and that we would be happy. It was just a simple gift but I thought it was very sweet and thoughtful of her. All the best to her in her new company :)
