New Year's Eve

Today is the last day of 2012. This morning, I was on my way to work when I received 小花's message that she might be late as her train was delayed. I was afraid that the trains would be crowded so I decided to board the train first at Buona Vista and wait for 小花 later. I had a shock when the train doors closed without warning just after I had stepped into the train. Actually 小花's train was just the next one after mine but I waited for about 10-15 minutes before her train arrived.  

Our company allowed us to leave at 2.30pm, but as we had not much mood to work, 小花 and I decided to skip lunch and leave at 1.30pm instead. We decided to go to The Star Vista for lunch and Ms K suggested going to her house after that as it was just nearby. We agreed and decided to have lunch at Watami (again! :P ) first, while Ms K went to shop around as she already had lunch. We waited a while for a table and ordered our food. Glad that it was still good :)

After the meal at Watami, Ms K joined us and we proceeded to BlackBall next door for dessert. It had started to rain heavily so we could not sit at the tables outside as they were not sheltered. There were only 3 tables indoors and all were occupied but luckily most of them were finishing soon so we did not have to wait long for a table. We ordered a BlackBall Signature to share. It was not too sweet and we could taste the yam and sweet potato in the ingredients.

It was still raining heavily after we have finished our dessert so Ms K suggested that we go to her house another time as we would get very wet walking to her house in this heavy rain even though we had umbrellas. Ms K and 小花 then went to NeNe Chicken to buy some extra food for dinner before we left to take the MRT home. However, there seems to be some problems as there were announcements at certain stations saying that train service would be delayed. The train also stopped longer than usual at some stations. Luckily I managed to reach home without any major problems.
