This evening I met up with 小花 at Bugis MRT station before proceeding to Hotel Intercontinental. We were meeting up with Tulip to celebrate 小花's belated birthday at Olive Tree Restaurant. We focused mainly on the seafood section first as we were tempted by the lobsters, oysters, mussels, scallops and prawns. The seafood was good, though Tulip felt that it would have been better if the lobsters were warm as we would be able to taste its sweetness more clearly.
I was a bit disappointed that there was only tuna and swordfish sashimi but no salmon sashimi. However, towards the end of the buffet, I saw someone eating salmon sashimi at another table and only realized then that the restaurant would actually replenish different food. Too bad that I was already very full and could not eat anymore.
I think it would have been nicer if there was a greater variety but overall the food was good and we were still satisfied :)
