Movie Time

小花 was on leave today but we still decided to catch a movie. I went to buy tickets for "The Hangover" during lunch. As the 7.40pm show was almost full, we watched the one at 9.20pm instead. We had dinner at the Japanese Gourmet Town and I ordered a Yaki-soba. Although the taste was not too bad, I felt that it was rather dry. Sigh... why can't it taste as good as those in Japan.... Was more satisfied with the fried cuttlefish that we ordered to share though as it was chewy but not hard and it tasted good :)

After dinner, we went to watch the movie. There were many scenes with mature content (nudity & profanity) but it was quite funny. I guess this movie wants to put across a message that taking drugs can cause you to do things that are really shocking/unexpected, and yet you cannot even remember what you have done after the effects have worn off. Not a bad movie overall.

Tired...

Actually wanted to update this blog last night, but was so tired that I kept dozing off in front of the computer. Sometimes I wonder if I am tired due to a lack of sleep or if I have some kind of illness because I can fall asleep very quickly any time/place.

And this morning I overslept... Usually woke up at around 7am but today I went back to sleep again after switching off my alarm (^_^)||| Seemed to be dreaming for a long time when I suddenly had a feeling that I should have woken up. I immediately sat up in shock and then looked at the time. I was afraid that I had overslept till 11am as it did happen to me before. Luckily it was only 7.20am and I managed to go to work at the usual time after rushing through my morning routine.


Yesterday was my 大妹's birthday so here's wishing her a happy belated birthday! She will be going to Hong Kong for a short trip tomorrow... 旅行を楽しむ！ :)

Miscellaneous events

Our team is supposed to have a team-building event on 14 Aug but not sure why it has been brought forward to the 7th instead. My boss asked if anyone couldn't make it that day, and I told her I have something on but didn't tell her that I have a flight to catch that night (since I don't want too many people to know that I'm going to Japan again). So she suggested that I just attend the team building even in the afternoon and then skip the dinner. I didn't want to sound like I was trying to find excuses not to attend the event so I agreed. Hopefully I will be able to go home right after the event so that I will have ample time to prepare for my trip. *crosses fingers*

Went down to The Arcade during lunch with 小花 and tulip to exchange for yen. Good that the rate has dropped a bit since my last trip to Japan in Apr \^^/ After that, we went to Banquet for lunch. All of us felt that the variety and taste of the food is so much better than the ones at Harbour Front Centre & VivoCity, and the prices are quite reasonable too. 小花 and I decided to eat Nasi Lemak and we ended up selecting exactly the same food - egg, vegetables and curry chicken :)

Today my 大妹 took a day's leave from work as she was going to take her driving test. And she passed at the first attempt! おめでとうございます！！Now she can work hard to save money for a car hehe.

Movie Time!

Went to watch Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince after work. Usually only watch with 小花, but as this was a company subsidized event, we were allowed to bring up to 2 immediate family members too. As both my sisters were keen to watch as well, I also bought tickets for them.

I had read the book previously, but as it was quite some time ago, my memory of the story was rather hazy. Though I enjoyed the movie, I think I still prefer the book as a lot of details were left out in the movie. My youngest sister, who has never read any of the Harry Potter books, thought this was the last in the series so she was quite puzzled when the movie ended. Now she is interested to read the series from the beginning. Since I only own the 5th and last books, she said she wanted to buy the rest of the books. Hmm... wonder if there are any discounts for the first few books as they were released a few years ago? Maybe I'll buy for my sister if they are not too expensive hehe.

Yesterday, my youngest sister helped my parents booked tickets online for a Chinese movie "Murderer" starring Aaron Kwok. She chose a 9.15pm show so that theirs would end about 15 mins after our Harry Potter movie, and we can then meet up with my parents and go home together. However, we waited for almost 45 mins before my parents came out of the cinema. I think my sister calculated the times wrongly... Orz. If I had known, I would have just taken the MRT home with 小花 as I would have reached home by the time my parents' movie ended.

Yay it's the weekend! Can finally wake up late tomorrow :)

Miscellaneous

今朝大雨が降りました。傘を持って、会社へ行きました。仕事の後、「傘を持って帰るのを覚えなければならないんです」と思っていました。でも、五分後忘れました！記憶力が悪くて、大変ね！（＊＿＊）


Took a cab home from work today. There was a weird smell in the taxi, which smelled like someone doing their "big business". Almost felt like vomitting throughout the journey :( Just as I got off the cab at my destination, another passenger boarded it. This caused me to wonder if the weird smell is due to the taxi driver having "狗屎运"... haha I'm so lame... （＾＾）|||

Have not been able to log in to Pet Society these 2 days... I want my free coins from visiting friends' pets

It's the weekend!

Weekend has finally arrived! Think I have been sleeping too little on weekdays as I felt very tired and have dozed off a few times at work :P Needless to say, I ended up waking up at almost 12pm both yesterday and today. Seems like a waste of the weekend but this is the longest uninterrupted sleep that I can get to make up for all the short hours of sleep everyday.

Finished watching the Japanese drama BOSS yesterday. Really enjoyed it as there are many twists to the plot, and it is interesting to see how they solve the cases. There are also some light-hearted scenes which balanced up the drama so that you don't always feel tensed up while watching it. Definitely recommend this drama :)

Went to EC House at West Mall to trim my hair today as I finally couldn't stand my long fringe anymore. After that went to Bali Thai to have dinner with my parents. We ordered 6 dishes in all - Mango Salad, Tahu Telor, Boneless Stuffed Chicken Wings, Tofu & Seafood Hotplate, Pineapple Rice & Phad Thai. I think we kinda forgot that my 2 sisters were not there and there were only 3 of us so we ended up being too full :P We liked the Phad Thai best but the Pineapple Rice least as there was a rather strong "spice" smell that was not to our taste. However, think their service is rather poor and the waitresses are not attentive but seem to be in a dream instead. After eating, I suddenly remembered that I forgot to take photos of the food to post here.... think I'm still not used to it hehe.

So sad that tomorrow is Monday and have to go to work again... Well, will count down the days to the next weekend! 週末のを楽しみにしています！

Mixed emotions

Felt extremely frustrated at work today. Have been trying so hard to manage the account exposure but in the end just felt like a scapegoat. It's so simple for people to say "highlight if there are any problems", but when I do highlight the problem, either no one has time to check or no one can really resolve the issue. So I'm still stuck with the problem and then..... Gross exposure too high? My fault. Contra not done fast enough? My fault. Payment not made on time? My fault. Just push all the blame to me, easy right?


After work I went to watch movie "Ice Age 3" with 小花. We usually watch every Friday but we were so used to buying the tickets on Thursdays that we said that we wanted "tickets for tomorrow night" yesterday. So we ended up with a Thursday show instead haha. Luckily 小花 checked the tickets before she kept them, otherwise we would have turned up at the cinema on Friday instead!

This is the first time I'm watching a movie in 3D. It's very interesting as you would have a visual feeling that you are a part of the show. The movie "Ice Age 3" also has many funny scenes and we all had a good laugh. I would highly recommend this movie to all :)


Today is also my youngest sis' birthday! 　妹、誕生日おめでとう！

Bored and tired.... つまらないと疲れた。。。

Wanted to play Pet Society and Restaurant City on facebook but have not been able to log in for the past one hour plus :( In the end went to do a few quizzes, though some are quite "bo liao"... think I'm too bored keke.

A bit tired now but don't feel like going to bed so early because it seems such a waste of time to just sleep away the hours (though this is what I usually do on weekends haha). However, also seems a bit late to start watching a show now since I prefer to watch a few episodes at a time. Think I'll end up wasting time doing nothing...

Decided to start a new blog after much procrastination. Would try to write in Japanese for practice but this would probably be limited to simple sentences. Well, will see how long I can keep up this blog since I have a problem of having only 三分钟热度 for most things ;)
