New Year Eve

How time flies... today is already the last day of 2009. Like Christmas eve, we were allowed to leave at 12.45pm if we have finished our work. As our boss invited us to his home in the evening, 小花 and I decided to just go directly from the office to his house instead of going home first.

We went to have lunch at VivoCity before proceeding to the National Geographic store to scout for winter clothing for our trip to Hokkaido. A staff recommended a few and we decided on a pullover that felt really light. We then went to the Winter Time store to purchase a pair of gloves each before going back to office to finish some paperwork.

We left the office at almost 7pm and went to our boss's house. A few of our colleagues and their family were already there and we started eating and chatting together. The whole house was rather lively as there were quite a number of children and they were running round the house playing with each other. It was only until around 11.30pm before I left for home.

On my way home, I saw many people take the MRT that was headed to Harbour Front station. I guess they were going to the countdown party at VivoCity. Some of them even made the effort to dress up, although a few looked a bit weird :P

Merry Christmas!

Today is Christmas Day so hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!

A few of my "new" colleagues gave me presents yesterday... so paiseh as I did not prepare any for them as I usually only buy for the same few. Think I'll buy more food stuff when I go to Hokkaido next month to make up for it :P

Christmas Eve

Today is Christmas Eve and we were allowed to leave after 12.45pm if we have finished our work. 小花 and I had planned to have lunch together before going home. However, as 小花 had a lot of work to do, we only managed to leave the office at almost 5pm! We were famished by then and 小花 suggested going to White Dog Cafe (again :P) for lunch-cum-dinner. She said that we should eat Western food so that it would feel more like Christmas :)

As we were having our meal at a rather odd timing, there wasn't many people at the restaurant. Besides ordering a Clam Chowder and Seafood Spaghetti with Spicy Seafood Sauce to share, we decided to also try the Forest Pizza. The Forest Pizza was very tasty as the combination of honey ham, mushrooms and onions was surprisingly good. It may seemed like we ordered too much food, but we were so hungry that we finished all of it :P As usual, we were not disappointed by the taste of the food :)

Avatar

It has been some time when 小花 and I last watched a movie so we decided to go to the subsidized movie event organized by our company tonight. The movie was scheduled at 7pm but as I wanted to buy a last minute Christmas present, I told 小花 that I would go over to VivoCity first and meet her at the cinema later. I thought I would just need 10 mins to grab a box of chocolates at Candy Empire but to my shock, the queue was so long that I decided not to wait. As 小花 had to cover a colleague who was on leave, she could not leave the office on time and we were about 10 mins late for the show. However, as this movie "Avatar" was almost 3 hrs long, we did not miss too much and could still catch the story line.

I think the plot was rather realistic, even though there were some "fantasy" characters. Humans often resort to violence and destruction just to get what they want. In the process, nature is disrupted and harm is often caused to the environment and living beings. I also enjoyed the 3D effects and the scenes in the movie were really beautiful.

After the movie, 小花 helped me select a box of chocolates at Cocoa Trees for a gift. I actually wanted to pay $1 more for the wrapping service but there was a long queue (again!) so I decided not to wait. Think many people were also doing last minute Christmas shopping. We then headed over to McDonalds for dinner before going home.

Shopping for Christmas Presents

This weekend is the last before Christmas Day but I have not finished my Christmas shopping yet... Orz... Decided to go to Plaza Singapura with my family to see if there would be any good gift ideas but was disappointed. In the end, decided to try my luck at VivoCity and managed to settle most of the presents there. I think my greatest "headache" is not knowing what to get as I prefer to buy things that the receiver likes/needs/wants, but I do not have such a good understanding of most of them.

After the shopping, I suggested having dinner at White Dog Cafe. Besides me, my family hasn't dined there before. I recommended them the Mango Chicken that 小花 and I usually order, and both my parents and youngest sis decided to order that. My 大妹 ordered the Chicken Leg with Mushroom Sauce while I ordered the Seafood Pasta with Spicy Seafood Sauce. We were all very satisfied with the food :)

Day Off

The past 4 days passed so quickly that it felt just like a blur to me... Think part of the reason was that I didn't have a good rest over the weekend so still seemed to be tired. Took the day off today to clear off the last day of leave that I had to clear for this year. Didn't have anything planned so I ended up sleeping until I was woken up by the doorbell at about 12pm :P

Spent the day just idling in front of the computer, though had to help my colleague check for payments as well due to customers paying at the last minute. Later in the evening, 小花 informed me that our flights to Hokkaido have been reserved. Yay! Finally have something to look forward to in the coming weeks as our trip would be in mid January. We still have more planning to do first but can't wait for the day to arrive sooner \^^/

Meetup with friends

Today had a meetup with some of my secondary school friends. We had arranged to meet at PS Cafe at Palais Renaissance at 1.30pm but my friends were late as usual so we ended up meeting at 2pm instead. It was my first time there so was quite surprised that their brunch hours were till 5pm (although last orders were at 3pm). I ordered the Caesar Salad and was shocked that it was such a big bowl (actually it was more like a small basin :P). Luckily most were vegetables so I still managed to finish it. Over the meal, we chatted and updated each other on our current lives for almost 3 hours before going on our separate ways again. I think it was good to have the meetup and catch up with each other at least once a year :)

I was actually on my way to the MRT to go home when I decided to head over to Takashimaya to see if there were any suitable Christmas gifts. However, I walked round for about an hour and a half but couldn't find any. Was beginning to feel a bit tired so gave up and went home instead. Feeling a bit anxious as next week will be the last week to shop for Christmas gifts...

Long Day

Today is a Saturday but could not sleep in as I had to attend a church wedding at Adam Road. The invitation card stated that guests should be seated by 9.45 am so 小花 and I decided to meet at 9.30 am in case we were late. We were waiting for the ceremony to start at around 10 am when I asked 小花 if anyone would notice if we left earlier. I was rather sleepy and was afraid that I would doze off in the middle of the ceremony. Besides, we felt out of place as we were not Christians and we also did not know any one there. In the end, we decided to leave before the ceremony started :P

HC was on her way to the church so we informed her that we would be leaving first. She asked us to wait for her so that she can just drop off her red packet and leave with us. We ended up having "breakfast" at Holland Village but as I already had mine, I only ate some dim sum. Later, HC dropped us off at Bouna Vista MRT station, where we took a train down to Bugis to do some Christmas shopping.

We headed to Sim Lim Square first as I thought of looking around to see if there were any suitable Christmas gifts. I bought an adjustable notebook cooler table for Tulip as she had mentioned that she didn't have a proper table for her notebook. We walked around for some time but our feet were starting to ache as we were not wearing comfortable shoes for walking since we had to attend the church wedding earlier. We went to a nearby KFC to rest our feet before heading over to Iluma shopping mall.

It was my first time there although it had already opened for some time :P We actually just wanted to look around by walking down from the top floor but we ended up spending most of the time in the arcade. We were especially interested in observing people play the UFO catchers as the soft toys were big and cute, and we saw quite a number of people manage to get them. I had seen some tips on playing the UFO catchers previously but have not tried them out yet. Maybe I'll give it a try when I'm in Japan next time as their soft toys seemed more well-stocked :)

Just to refresh my memory, here's an article cum video on UFO catcher techniques, as well as another Youtube video:

After that, we proceeded to Bugis Junction. As our feet were aching again, we decided to have our dinner first. We went to MOF and ordered a Grilled Unagi Onigiri, as well as a Soba set and a Udon set. As it was 小花's birthday month, we were given a complimentary dessert and 小花 chose Hokkaido ice-cream. We were very full from the meal so we walked around Bugis Junction for a while more before heading home. I was so exhausted that I fell asleep in the MRT but luckily did not miss my stop :P

Wedding Dinner

Today I attended my cousin's wedding dinner at Furama Hotel. Not sure if 2009 is a very good year for marriages as so many people seem to have gotten married this year. As today is Friday, I wore my usual t-shirt and jeans to work and asked my parents to bring me a change of clothes when they fetched me from work.

When we reached the dinner venue, we were told that we would be seating at Table 17, together with my 5th Uncle's family. However, we saw some unfamiliar faces sitting at Table 17 when we entered the ballroom so we went out to confirm our table number again. It turned out that there were duplicate table numbers so we were allocated another table instead.

The dinner only started at around 9.30pm and finished at about 11.30pm. I sent an sms to 小花 to ask what she will be wearing to attend a church wedding of our colleague tomorrow morning. I was shocked to learn that she was still in the office clearing paperwork, as the new colleague replacing 雪人 needs more time to be familiar with the work. Poor 小花...

Happy Belated Birthday to 小花

Yesterday was 小花's birthday. Had actually planned to celebrate during lunch last Friday, but we had a farewell lunch for 雪人 that day so decided to change it to today instead. 小花 had a craving for the food at White Dog Cafe so we headed there for lunch.

The place was not very crowded so we got a table easily. We ordered a White Dog platter, Mango Chicken and Seafood Pasta with spicy seafood sauce to share. We have not tried the Seafood Pasta before and were pleased that it turned out very tasty :) All the portions were also quite large so we ended up very full. After finishing the dishes, Tulip and 小花 went to the counter and selected a Warm Choco cake with vanilla ice-cream for dessert. Luckily the ice-cream was not too milky for 小花's taste or I would have to finish it myself since Tulip can't take too much lactose. Overall, we were satisfied with the food.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon

The second installation of the Twilight series has finally arrived. 小花 and I have been waiting for this since we watched the first part last year, so we bought tickets for the movie tonight. However, after watching this second part, I think I still enjoyed the first story more, as it was more focused on the development of relationship between Bella and Edward, and the fights between the vampires seemed more exciting. Nevertheless, I believe I would continue watching the next 2 parts as I'm still quite keen to know whether Bella would become a vampire and how the story would develop :)

End of long weekend

Time really flies... 4 days has passed so quickly and tomorrow I have to go back to work again *sigh*.... How I wish I could have more time just to laze around and do whatever I want. Perhaps the end of the year is coming so don't really have the mood to work :P Can't wait for the next weekend to come...

Shopping @ Jurong Point

Today, I woke up at around 8.30 am, which was very early for me on a Saturday morning. My mum and sisters had planned to go for breakfast at Jurong Point before starting our shopping. My youngest sis suggested Old Town White Coffee as she had tried it in Malaysia and had liked it. We actually wanted to order the set menu but was told that the set menu was only available on weekday mornings. We only ordered drinks with kaya toast and french toast, but still ended up very full. However, I felt it was rather expensive as a cup of coffee cost $2, yet the taste was about the same as those at Toastbox or 旺角.

After the breakfast, we started walking around. It was not 11 am yet so we just wandered around for a while until most of the shops have opened. I managed to buy 2 pairs of working shoes to replace my old ones that were worn out. Hopefully they would not hurt.

We shopped till almost 2 pm before deciding to have lunch. My 大妹 mentioned that the Kopitiam at the old wing has just renovated so we decided to lunch there. However, all of us were not very satisfied with the food. My youngest sis felt that her fish soup noodles were too bland, while my mum felt that her vermicelli was too gooey and the pig's liver too hard. I ordered Yong Tau Foo but felt that the one at Vivocity was better.

After lunch, I went for a quick haircut at EC House before continuing shopping. My dad joined us after his work at about 5.30 pm. After shopping for a while more, my 大妹 was starting to get tired from all the walking and asked if we wanted to go home. We decided to have dinner first and my mum suggested the newly opened 莆田 restaurant. Luckily there was no queue as we were considered early. Perhaps due to the unsatisfying lunch, we ordered quite a number of dishes and was so full that we didn't even order dessert. My favorite was the stir-fried yam :)

Braised Pig Intestine

Drunken Cockles

Spinach with Salted Egg and Century Egg

Sweet & Sour Pork with Lychees

Stir-fried Yam

Stir-fried Cuttlefish

Long Weekend

Tomorrow is a public holiday and I decided to take one day leave today to enjoy a longer weekend. Actually wanted to accompany my youngest sis to Sitex at Expo as she thought of buying an external hard disk but I felt really lazy :P I suggested just going to Jurong Point as there might also be offers at stores like Challenger or Best so the price difference would not be that great.

Just then, my mum called and we told her of our plan. She said that she had planned to go to Jurong Point to shop too this weekend so she suggested going together on Saturday instead. So in the end, we stayed at home and I just spent the day playing games and watching dramas :)

A Christmas Carol

Our company organized a subsidized movie event tonight and 小花 and I decided to attend. The movie that we watched was "A Christmas Carol", adapted from the story by Charles Dickens. Though I have heard of this title, I have never read the book before so did not have any idea of the plot at all.

The movie was entertaining, though some parts startled me due to the sudden and loud sound effects. It was good that Mr Scrooge was a changed person after a night with the three ghosts, though the transformation was so sudden that the people around him couldn't seem to believe it. I think the moral of the story is that we should share and enjoy our lives as much as we can, since no matter how much money you accumulate, it would be of no use to you when you are dead...

No movies again

Today is Friday but 小花 and I did not watch any movies again as the timings of the movies that we wanted to watch were either too early or too late. We had also intended to use the one-for-one birthday movie voucher from Golden Village. However, we were restricted as we could only select movies that have been shown for some time, and we could not watch the movies on Fridays and Saturdays. Not sure if Golden Village is really sincere in giving members this "privilege", as I can't understand why they then had to impose so many restrictions on the use of the birthday voucher *shrugs*

Marutama Ramen

Today, I had lunch with 小花 and another colleague at Marutama Ramen at Central. Have not been there for some time and we missed the ramen. 小花 and I ordered the spicy ramen as usual, with an egg topping. I really like the egg as the white was firm but the yolk was still soft. It tasted really good... yum yum :)

My mum had experimented on cooking such an egg previously as my family all loved the egg, but without any success. I decided to search the internet for a recipe and managed to find one finally... Yay!

Even managed to find the recipe for braising sauce for the egg when I followed the link in the video! Shall ask my mom to try it out when she has time :)

Dinner Meetup

Today met up with SKY for dinner. As she had to run some errands near Orchard area, we decided to meet at Sushi Tei (again!) at Paragon for dinner. I ordered Soba for a change and was quite satisfied with it :)

Haven't met up with SKY for some time so it was good to catch up with her tonight. She has decided to go into the teaching profession and is now training at NIE, so she has been busy with school work and exams. 頑張ってください!!

Christmas Light Up @ Orchard

After the dinner at 和民, 小花 and I proceeded to Wheelock Place and slowly walked till Plaza Singapura, stopping to take photos of the Christmas lighting and decorations on the way. When we just started, we felt a few drops of rain and feared the worst, but luckily it did not rain :) Haven't walked for so long in a while though :P

This was the first time I used my 大妹's camera that she bought not long ago, as the batteries for the usual camera that I use seemed to take too long to charge. Didn't have time to really figure out the different settings of the camera but fortunately the photos seem to turn out fine.

和民

I had suggested to 小花 that we could go out on a Saturday to take photos of the Christmas Light-up at Orchard and we agreed on today. We decided to have dinner at 和民 first before going around Orchard for photographs. We have been wanting to try out this restaurant since we know about its opening a few months back, as this was the very same restaurant where we had our dinner for 3 straight days when we were in Japan.

We had a little difficulty locating the restaurant in Ion as there were many people and the layout was a bit confusing. We did not have to wait long to get a seat, probably because it was only about 5.30 pm. As there were only 2 of us, we did not order too much and ended up trying 4 dishes that we ate in Japan.

Overall, the food here was comparable to that in Japan, though we felt that the Scallops with Butter and Stone Pot Rice could have had more garlic, and could be more sizzling when served. Just for comparison, the left column are the food we tasted in Singapore while the right are the food that we ate in Japan.

Grilled Squid

Scallops with Butter

Grilled Mackerel

Stone Pot Rice

We also ordered a Cassis Grapefruit to share. The drink was a bit bitter due to the grapefruit with a hint of sweetness that tasted like blackcurrant.

"苦中一点甜" - Before and after stirring

The dessert "Brownies with Vanilla Ice-cream" was so tempting that we decided to give it a try as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal :)

2012

小花 and I have already bought tickets for tonight's movie "2012". Before the show, we went to dinner with a few colleagues as well as another Korean colleague who was here for a training course. As the Korean colleague preferred either Chinese or Thai food, we decided to have our dinner at Thai Accent at VivoCity.

This was the first time I have dined here. Didn't know that the place was actually quite big as I could only see a portion of the restaurant from outside when walking by. We ordered some food to share and my colleagues told the waiter to serve us the food as quickly as possible as our Korean colleague had a flight to catch. Not sure if the restaurant has always had efficient service but they really served our food in a short time. We were rather pleased with their service, and as their food tasted quite good as well, we decided that we could dine in this restaurant again next time.

After the meal, there was still some time left so we went back to office to clear some work. We were still very full when we headed to the cinema. Though we had bought tickets for the show on Wednesday, we only managed to get seats on the 4th row out of a total of 8 rows! When the advertisements started, we felt that the screen was a bit too close to us but luckily it was better during the movie.

The special effects in the movie were rather spectacular. However, it's really scary to imagine that some day what we see in the movie may come true. Whole cities could just disappear in a matter of seconds and trying to flee would be useless. Hopefully this will never happen.

When the movie ended, we realized that it was already 12.30 am. We did not check the movie length beforehand but hadn't expected it to end so late. It was raining but luckily the the queue at the taxi stand was quite short and taxis arrived frequently. After confirming with 小花 on the time and place to meet tomorrow, we went home separately.

Happy Birthday to me :P

Today I took a day off from work as it is my birthday. Think this is the first time that I took leave for my birthday, because in previous years my birthday either fell on a weekend or I worked. However, I did not make any plans so I just stayed at home. To me, just waking up late and spending the day playing games or watching dramas is a real pleasure. I'm so easily satisfied haha.

Yesterday Tulip and 小花 gave me a treat at Sushi Tei during lunch. Although we didn't really order a lot, we still ended up very full. Think we all love Japanese food :) Makes me feel like going to Japan again... Hope the prices of air tickets will drop soon *crosses fingers*

Long Beach @ Dempsey

As my birthday is next Tuesday, my family decided to celebrate it in advance. My mum booked a table at the Long Beach branch at Dempsey Road as we have not been there before.

After deciding on the food to order, we waved to a waitress but was told to wait a while as only certain waitresses could take orders. A "black-faced" waitress subsequently came over and left without saying a word or even smile after taking our orders. Felt that her service was very poor and it might be probably better if we had written down our orders on a piece of paper and just passed it to her instead =_=

The first 2 dishes - prawn and tofu arrived after a while. However, we had to wait for almost 15 minutes before the next dish was out. And we were rather surprised that it was the Chili Crab as it is usually the last dish to be served. Anyway, we started eating the crab and then suddenly the rest of the dishes were served all at once. Our hands were already "dirty" from eating the crab so we just left the other dishes aside and continue with the crab first, so the other food were a bit cold when we finally finished the crab >_< In addition, we ordered another small plate of buns as there was still quite a lot of chili crab gravy left over. However, when the buns were served, we were disappointed as the buns were only a little warm but yet it took so long for them to be served.

Overall, the taste of the food was not bad. I felt that one of the dishes was rather special - Hor Fun with La La King. Though the La La wasn't really as big as it sounded in the menu, the hor fun comprised of both fried and normal hor fun and it was the first time I had ever tried this. However, we regretted ordering the roasted chicken as we "forgot" that this was a seafood restaurant and the chicken was so normal that it could have been bought from any hawker centre. But I think the restaurant really needs to improve their service level as people have many other choices for seafood as well, and probably at cheaper prices too.

Prawns

Tofu

Chili Crab

Spinach with 3 types of eggs

Roasted Chicken

Hor Fun with La La King

杨枝甘露 (with ice-cream!?)

Black Glutinous Rice with ice-cream

Durian Pudding

No movie

小花 and I actually wanted to watch Coraline but the latest show time was only 6.30pm, which was a bit early for us. The timing for other movies were also not very good so we decided to skip watching movies for this week and just have dinner instead.

小花 suggested having sashimi at a shop at the basement of VivoCity. However, there wasn't much food left when we got there so we decided to change a venue. As we already had fish soup noodles during lunch, 小花 didn't want to have "中餐" for dinner again. I suggested White Dog Cafe or Coffee Club and we ended up at Coffee Club.

There was a promotion for new dishes, which came with 99% fat-free drinks again. The main ingredients remained the same, except that previously it came with pasta while this time it was wrapped in pita bread instead. We ordered the Cheeky Chick and Crab Attack sets, with Mango-Banana and Ruby Fruit drinks. Both of us were very satisfied with the food, but we couldn't finish our drinks yet again. Shall see what other new dishes Coffee Club come up with in future :)

Eventful Day

Overslept yet again Orz. This time it's because my handphone battery went dead so the alarm did not ring. The battery indicator is really unreliable as I had checked that the battery still had 2 out of 3 bars before I went to bed last night. Luckily my 大妹 was preparing to go to work and saw me still sleeping, so she asked me if I was on leave today. I immediately jumped out of bed in shock and fortunately it was only 7.30 am. I have decided that I would change my handphone next year, partly because of this lousy battery indicator.

As 小花 was on leave today, I went for lunch with Tulip and 雪人. Tulip wanted to go to the bank after lunch and as we were making our way there, Tulip commented that we were walking too slowly. I told her that we were just following her pace and so she started walking faster. 雪人 and I also walked faster to match her pace and suddenly 雪人 said that we were "breast walking". She actually meant "brisk walking", but she did not seem to realize her mistake until Tulip and I kept laughing non-stop. She is really a joker, isn't she? ;)

Koshonin 2 Ep 2

So sad that the policeman 甘利 died in this episode. I think it was really weird of their boss to use force against the criminal, without giving them the time to negotiate first. What's even more puzzling was that there was only 1 more gun left to find and yet they were told to withdraw their search. Maybe there's a connection between the top police officers and Summer Claus?? Shall continue watching to find out.

As usual, there was a brief appearance by Shirota.

Not sure if he was trying to act cute here *_*

Amalfi

Today 小花 and I watched our second movie of the week. The movie was set in Italy and the scenery was really breathtaking. I have not been to Italy before and this made me want to visit there some day :) However, Italy seems like a dangerous place to travel free and easy so probably can only go with guided tours.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie as the plot was entertaining. Was also pleasantly surprised that I could recognize quite a number of actors/actresses in the show. There was even an appearance by Sarah Brightman in the movie, singing the song "Time to say Goodbye".

More J-Dramas!

Was looking for the next episode of Tokyo DOGS when I "accidentally" saw another J-drama - Untouchable. I vaguely remembered that Nakama Yukie had a role in this show so just decided to see if it would be worth watching. The first episode was quite interesting, with a mixture of comedy and mystery. So it has also been added to my list of shows to watch for this season :P

Another new addition is JIN-仁. The ratings of the show seemed quite high so decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. I felt that the drama was well-paced and there wasn't any dull moments. I was even moved by some scenes, which brought tears to my eyes. Will definitely continue to watch this drama.

Just to summarize the J-dramas that I'm watching this season:

DayDrama
MonTokyo DOGS
TueLiar Game 2
ThuKoshonin 2
FriUntouchable
SatSamurai High School
SunJIN

Almost 1 drama per day! :P

My Sister's Keeper

小花 and I decided to watch a movie today, partly because we missed one last Friday and we have a few movies that we wanted to watch, and partly because tickets only cost $6.50 on Tuesdays.

Ever since we saw the trailer for "My Sister's Keeper", we have decided that it would be one of the movies to watch. And we were not disappointed by our choice. It was a really touching movie and many scenes made tears well up in my eyes. This movie was rather special as it was from the viewpoints of the different family members. I think this allowed the audience to have a better perspective of how they really feel.

The movie brought up a very good point: Should the parents have "created" Anna to try and save Kate who was sick? It's definitely unfair to Anna, but I think it's also understandable for the parents to want to try all means to cure Kate. I guess there isn't any right or wrong answer, just that the parents should not just focus all their attention on the sick child and neglect the other siblings.

Back home, I did a search and found that although the movie followed the story of the novel quite closely, the ending was totally different. Now I'm interested to read the book so as to compare which ending I like better ;)

Samurai High School Ep 2

One week has gone by quickly and today I watched the second episode of Samurai High School. This was a rather hilarious episode, especially with the "cute and girly" Shirota totally "falling in love" with Haruma.

Guess what was hiding beneath Shirota's hands:

Shirota tried to copy Haruma's ponytail but his hair was too short so it ended up like that XDD

Shirota walked really close to Haruma while carrying Haruma's bag for him.

Look at Shirota's approving smile when Haruma wanted to enter in a competition.

He even volunteered to be Haruma's "horse" in the competition.

Guess Shirota was a bit 心虚 for hogging Haruma and he tried hiding behind Haruma when the main female character (don't know and not interested in knowing her name :P) came.

But that didn't stop Shirota from peeping, even when he was asked to leave them alone for a moment.

Look at Shirota's adoring eyes towards Haruma during the competition.

This whole episode was highly entertaining as it was full of Shirota "expressing his love" for Haruma and I ended up laughing at many of the scenes. However, the below one really topped them all. Don't you think Shirota's expression looked just like a girl who had gone through a lot of suffering and was about to burst into tears?!

Can't wait for the next episode :)
